What’s New in 2006 Amanti

The standard features like front and rear side airbags, curtain side airbags, and antilock 4-wheel disc brakes remained unaltered, while a sunroof was added in the 2006 model.

Traction/antiskid control was again an optional feature, though dual-zone climate control, leather upholstery, power front seats, sunroof, and heated front seats became standard offerings in the 2006 models. A driver-seat memory system is optional.

Its spacious interior, long warranty, and class-leading amenities offered true value for the money, though it lacked power (200hp is never too much for anybody for sure), and the weak V6 wasn’t too great on the prestige meter either.

The Bottom-Line

The 2006 Kia Amanti wasn’t really the fastest or the most happenings sedans in the market, nevertheless it turned out to be one of the rock solid, reliable alternatives for motor enthusiasts that needed a safe, reasonably priced and well equipped large size sedan. An auto-dimming rearview mirror, heated leather seats, and sunroof were the noteworthy additions in the 2006 model.
